Tak you for the color catalog photo! And some people have written (Anders Ditlev Clausager) about Tekno and think the Opels were too hard to make with the thin window pillars and roof above, so it took too long before they were outdated or they gave up.
In English they are called Trafficators or semaphore signals. Not a common word, so not many people will know it. I saw them on a car a long time ago at a classic car show.
Good idea – movies! The imcdb (internet movie car data base) has lots of PV444s but almost all are Swedish movies. Here is one famous US movie on a US street!

Car sales started with the PV444 in 1955 (26 cars sold!), but I don’t think I have ever seen one in the US. I have seen Amazons (rarely) and a few P1800s over the years here.

Here are 2 Teknos I got when I was 8 or 10 years old – I only used the cars to play on the carpets, never the buses. I do not know why! Maybe they were hard to drive on the roadways (long narrow patterns on the rugs)

I have been collecting since I was 8 years old, so I have had many, many years to find things (50 years). Teknos are too expensive now, so I am looking for Vilmer and BP now…
I am sorry I can not write Danish. I live in the US. My father had a consulting job in Kobenhavn in the summers, so my Tekno collection started in 1968 when I was 8 years old. My family would go for the summers with him and stay in Vedbæk and other places. We were there in 68, 70, 72, 77, and so I have visited many other times after that.
I bought many Teknos at Thorngreen in 1968 and 1970…

You all have very beautiful display cabinets. Very nice collections.
My wife was nice to me and bought two wood display cabinets with glass shelves and doors. A small halogen light is at the top. But my cars are now a mess! Too crowded but I would rather have them out than in boxes.
I have the same one, bought at a local auction many years ago, in Indianapolis, USA. A very strange place to find it!
