britiske butik “Hamleys” i London-legetøj i 3 etager.

InactiveI see,- didn
t know,-but this is a rare collectors item in itown.’May I ask, what`s your connection to Denmark, visiting Toy shops
is a long way to go-april 16, 2018 kl. 14:30 #47802Stroget
ParticipantI am sorry I can not write Danish. I live in the US. My father had a consulting job in Kobenhavn in the summers, so my Tekno collection started in 1968 when I was 8 years old. My family would go for the summers with him and stay in Vedbæk and other places. We were there in 68, 70, 72, 77, and so I have visited many other times after that.

ParticipantHi Ib and Karl.
It’s always interesting to hear stories from fellow collectors and the tails of the Tekno cars and how they were bought.
The very best regards Bertel.april 17, 2018 kl. 23:50 #47816Anonym
InactiveHi Bertel and Karl
Yep,- I
s a really Yeateryear business, the collecting brings the floor and carpet driving up in a dear memory of the childhood- allways a place at the carpet to find a parking or unloading place,-We both hope Karl will write us, not writing Danish don`t
stop collecting between our countries,-Und sollte jemand deutsche dar sein, dann werden Sie auch hertzlich
Willkommen-allerdings ein Liebwolles VW Experte…april 18, 2018 kl. 02:09 #47819Stroget
ParticipantHere are 2 Teknos I got when I was 8 or 10 years old – I only used the cars to play on the carpets, never the buses. I do not know why! Maybe they were hard to drive on the roadways (long narrow patterns on the rugs)

ParticipantHi again Karl.
I just realized where you likely got your profile name Stroget from.
Vimmelskaftet where the Thorngreen toyshop was, is a part of the famous pedestrian street in Copenhagen, named Strøget.
Where your collection of Tekno models started many years ago.
I’m a model 61, and got my first Tekno’s same time as you, but only my brothers Mercedes garbage truck and my Ford Lincoln continental are still childhood members of my little collection.
Best regards Bertel.april 26, 2018 kl. 21:22 #47891Stroget
ParticipantJa! i have a US keyboard so I don’t have the Danish letter o with a slash… 🙂
