Posted on Gamle København. What do you think?

    Dodge or Chevrolet?

    A Bedford and a Cevvy ???

Yes the rear one – Chevrolet 1949-53 – is the one we know as Tekno tuck, also as TOBI TOYS, and as LEGO made of plastic.
The one in the front is a Bedford 1953 – 59 It is the model LEGO made as HO Tanker Truck and more, and as big BILO-FIX Trucks. My grandfather had such, but the small model.
Both Trucks were assembled at GM in Copenhagen, and they also had the same engine – Chevrolet “stovebolt six” 6 cylinder in line, petrol engine that was in production 1929-2009. …. Vilmer military Trucks were also inspired by the Chevrolet model … The Vilmer and Tekno models came into production 5 years before the Bedford truck ever came on the market in the version shown …. Good photo

It’s a very funny picture. The somewhat older Chevrolet has directional indicator arms (do not know what they are called in English?) Yellow arrow …. The newer Bedford truck has flashlights – orange arrows and parking lights – blue arrow …. I mean DK should have a flashlight on all cars after 1967? Remember that the military drove on dispensation. They had a huge sign on the back, “Missing direction flash light”

In English they are called Trafficators or semaphore signals. Not a common word, so not many people will know it. I saw them on a car a long time ago at a classic car show.

I have never seen such a light signal in reality. Perhaps BP. or MIKRO, have one? Wondered how it works. I suppose it should be driven around as if it were a roundabout. Like a policeman. A way to get the car drivers to drive correct around.
We tend to turn left, by “driving in opposite directions, in the turn” photo 1. as with road signs in modern light controls.
The correct way is like photo 2, but it requires that you take precaution for each other in traffic.
But how does it work? We have red, yellow, green at the top. In the middle something has similar? and the light looks as if direction is towards the direction of driving? Is it something that those who are going straight out should look for the top lights. Those who have to turn left should drive around the light signal and look at the light in the middle? as I have described it in Photo 3 ?
