The Ford D800 in Walco box has no date anywhere so it is hard to tell if it came from Tekno or Kirk or the new Tekno 1972?

My base has Tekno Denmark on it though. It is Ford D800 and No 915 on the box. Is it in the wrong box or they had no Spiegel boxes as it was a promo? verlaengerter ladeflaeche = long extended bed

I like the red shutters in the back very much. Do they roll up? Are they old parts or did you make them? Karl

Ms Super – Those are very nice trucks! The Faxe and Carlsberg were Tekno Holland, but the Irma was Tekno Denmark only? That is what I have in my collection so I am not sure of other versions.

I have the Mercedesd bus and Jaguar with KIRK in the baseplate, so those are yes!

The Kirk toys were sold as kits in the US market by MPC, called strip n steer. A period ad for strip ‘n steer, in an American boy’s magazine from Dec 1970, shows the following models:

    No. Model
    914 FORD D-800 dump truck
    915 FORD D-800 stake truck
    931 MONZA spyder
    933 Oldsmobile TORONADO
    927 Jaguar XKE [sic]

Yes, I think you are right. I am trying to document everything in a Model Product box or with Kirk on the baseplate.

Very nice! red white and blue! I have 2 original ones, with different headlights.

Maybe the jewel headlights were too expensive in the final months of Tekno so they deleted them in later issues?

Thanks! I have never seen the Corgi Land Rover with that old style crane on the back. Very nice.

Nice replacement crane on the Land Rover – did you make it?

The large Falck tow truck is nice too – is that new in the stores? I want one! 🙂

very heavy, 14 cm long? I have the same one in grey. Look at the front grill! Under the badge, it says Stenstorp !!!

My wheels are plain slab metal – no W – perhaps replacements?

This is a great discussion. “Buyer Beware” as they say.

Education through books, iternet searches, ebay, QXL, teknosamleren.dk !, etc is needed so you are not fooled. (too often!)

If I buy a car from the store and leave it as-is, is that not Mint in Box by definition. If it has errors, then it is a rare variation! Or an error car! It would be worth more if it were a Hot Wheel. 🙂

Maybe old Teknos and Dinkys etc have a different standard?

Very nice Tekno cars. Look on QXL and ebay and see current prices. Do you wan to sell them? Sorry I do not speak Danish.

I see it now. Thank you for the red arrows! Is it damage before they assembled it? And got past quality control at Tekno? I looked at some of mine and don’t have any marks like that though. So I do not know for sure.

Burland’s Hobby Shop was a toy and train store in Pittsburg, PA USA, in the 1950s and 60s!

It is a beautiful car. I think it is original. I have a few Teknos of that age with the same marks around the rivets. Bought many years ago in the box. I think it is a mark when they pressed down too hard when assembling the cars in the factory.
