hi Michael , to get the two parts back together I drilled out the holes the pins had to go into just enough so the fit was loose then glued into place and clamps used for wood work to lock it all together . Glad you like my humble effort I have a couple more to restore one day hopefully be even better .

    Hi Bertel ,
thanks for the information I use a similar method but use split pins as the source of
the new pillar , lots a different sizes (width) , one curved edge and one flat . I too managed to obtain from Peter one of those catalogues , love it , makes restoration and purchases a lot easier .

hi Bertel , yes there are quite a lot of different hubs use on the Corgi models , with the Corgi La France fire engine are you missing one of the backwards facing firemen I can not promise but I may have one just have to find it .

    hi Bertel,
I am more of a Dinky Toys collector than Corgi although I do restore Corgi 267 Batmobiles they sell well and pay for my diecast addiction with Tekno models.

hi Flemming , a few pictures of the Corgi 325 Ford Mustang Competition Model , take no notice of the race numbers these came with 4 sets of race numbers so number choice was up to the lucky child to pick out . The only problem with this one is damage to the suspension — very weak plastic very common fault — so it sits a little low . I am happy to send it to you from Australia for the cost of postage and a trade for a Tekno model once you have received the Mustang and are happy with it and I would not want cost of mailing until you have this model in your possession. My email address is included in the last picture .

Hi Flemming I do have a duplicate of the plain aluminium or spun hub version but the wire versions are a little harder to find . If you would like it I can send it to you,the spun hub version that is .
Peter has been very generous to me with Tekno items so if I can return the favour I am happy to do so , just so you are aware Mettoy the makers of Corgi models had a policy of nothing went to waste so they would use whatever was on hand to finish a production run , hence different wheels , decals , even paint, etc.

hi Flemming , I thought I had one of those but after a search I found 4 with plain
spun aluminum wheels and 2 with wire type wheels but none with the 8 spoke type. I will keep looking for you one may come up for sale .

I in Australia can only dream of picking up “scrap” like those , maybe I need to move closer to Europe post cost are very high to this part of the world.

hi Flemming , I don’t have a display as such , no room , I only have a small half converted 1969 Caravan as a work area but hopefully have rest of caravan fitted out so I can get some display cabinets on the walls .My good lady won’t allow me to take over our small shack we live in , it’s only one room 9 x 7.5 meters so very minimal in what we can have sitting around . The first picture is my next lot of restoration which I will be able to keep and display , there are another 2 boxes of trucks , vans , ford v8 , dodge etc., that I am so looking forward to being able to show off in a display .

thank you Bertel Pederson , Lone Star are more available in Australia than Tekno so I should be able to find a wreck easily enough , in fact I think I may have a couple in a box somewhere .Happy now I can restore another Tekno

While waiting for paint to dry I made a start on reattaching tail fin to DC 7 hope pictures are self explaining , my aim is to make it strong enough to be handled once again with out fear of bits falling off .Epoxy is JB Weld Metal 24 hour setting , takes a while to harden off but once set its easy to sand back.In a couple of days I will sand epoxy smooth and adjust to make both body parts fit perfectly before trying to replace broken rear fixing pin .
Basically posting steps to show anyone who may have damaged wings on aircraft that most can be repaired they just take time .

hi , no not as yet but I feel that there is no way I could get the pressure
required to force them together so will be looking at slightly drilling out the
hole and adding some glue while clamping together .
