We went to Thorngreen in 1974 and all the Teknos WERE GONE! That was on Strøget, hence my username. 🙂 Tivoli still had them as prizes for the games though. I won a FORD Taunus van after betting a lot of tokens!
Then in 1977 I did find some old stock Tekno Denmark in Austria and Belgium, nothing in Copenhagen except for some Volvo AND Scania TRUCKS from Holland. In 1981, nothing but some cheap Tekno Denmarks in the antique shops around Copenhagen…

Yes, the VW Beetles, DKW, and Opel on the left above (1968-69 catalog) are the same images as in the 1966 (35 ore) catalog. The 1963 (30 ore) has older drawings of the VW.
However, the newer 1970-71 catalog shows 4 VWs with photos of the real Tekno models.
The one on the right is the French catalog so maybe they had to get their own images? So they used real cars if the Teknos were not received in time to get the catalog printed.
The same for the Danish catalogs – if they need to print them in time for Christmas, then they use old images or real car images if the Tekno models are not ready in time or can’t get to the photographer and printer in time. That seems reasonable.

Does anyone remember the “Tekno igen” in Denmark? Did they show up in 1974 or when?Peter – thank you. I will correct the text to say 1963 for this one!

Tak Bertel! I will have to look at my Vilmer Dodge – I have some that steer and some that do not, but I never noticed 2 different rear axles (differentials). i will have to go look now!

yes, H-J, you have to look very closely to see the Joal and Pilen are copies. I had to buy them and examine to confirm that. They must have bought a Tekno (or Kirk) and copied it directly: too similar!
Do you think Walco started in 1969/70 with Kirk toys? When did they stop? Someone else guessed a date of 1972-?. I have both Kirk and Tekno in Walco boxes (could have been switched years ago though).
And Dalia is also very hard to date. You think ?-1982?
